Bankes Design is the freelance graphic design practice of Joshua Bankes, converging problem solving, storytelling and strategy development into engaging visual communications in both print and digital media. Assignments include logos, invitations, brochures, program books, posters, identity systems, and websites that support the brands parameters and objectives, creating impact and growth by being both communicative and visually compelling.

I have twenty years of experience managing and executing the design, pre-press, and production responsibilities at a boutique short run prototype graphic arts studio­ based in the Philadelphia region. The studio blended traditional graphic art skills — film and hand work — tempered with contemporary digital advancements in the production of custom print proofs and packaging prototypes. Simultaneously, I was a freelance designer with Paone Design Associates where I predominately contributed to the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra account. The poster work for the orchestra has been recognized internationally and is frequently published in prominent design publications
